Digital SLR Camera Photography
SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. Basically that means the lens is not built in the body of the camera like digital compact cameras. With a digital SLR camera the lenses can be changed to adapt to your shooting conditions. For example you’ll use a tele lens for portrait and wide-angle lens for landscape.
Digital SLR cameras have more functions than a compact point and click. In this section I’llcover some advanced techniques you can leverage with a digital SLR camera.
I have put here a few pictures of my Canon 5D Mark II which is a digital SLR camera to show you different parts.

I’ll be posting photos of another digital SLR camera I use which is a Nikon D700 and do a comparison between Canon 5D Mark II and Nikon D700. Come back to this site soon…
Ok, let’s dive into different features that come with a digital SLR camera. Use them and you’ll get the most out of your camera. Your photos will look like they are taken by a pro.
1. Exposure Modes
The way you use different exposure modes will makes the difference in your photography.
Sony HVLF20AM TTL Digital Flash
Sony HVLF20AM TTL Digital Flas is for Sony Alpha Digital SLR Cameras.
Unlike most external flash units, the HVLF20AM has no dedicated ON/OFF switch. Instead, power is automatically switched on simply by raising the flash unit into the shooting position.
In addition, a switch on the side of the unit offers Indoor and Outdoor settings, making it easy for entry-level users to obtain flash illumination that suits their current shooting situation. A charging lamp indicates when the flash is ready to fire.
The HVLF20AM also supports ADI (Advanced Distance Integration) flash metering, which automatically assures optimum flash brightness, and auto white balance adjustment, which automatically assures optimum color balance. Designed to offer simplicity and ease of operation in every detail, it enables users to obtain beautiful results without worrying about power settings, flash coverage angles, or other factors involved in bounce-flash shooting. Works well with sony A850, A330. This is a cute little flash! It’s small, slim and lightweight, but still a very powerful flash. When it is not in use, it lays flat on top of the camera. It adds very little extra weight when shooting. It comes with its own carrying case, but easily fits in small SLR bag.
DSLR Shutter Count
Maybe some of us do not pay attention or it usually does no one tell, where were the limits of life or the term of the DSLR shutter count we have.
So is the shutter count how many times the digital camera we can take a picture.
Just like any other digital gadgets, everything has a limit of life. Like when the keys of a PC in our house there are some that do not work because it was a few years of use.
Unlike the old mechanical SLR camera, as long as we take good care and how to use the slick, then the age of its use will be longer.
Shutter count on any DSLR camera even vary depending on many factors. Average figures for the DSLR shutter count is about 100,000.
Information from a camera shutter count becomes very important for those who want to buy second DSLR camera. To re-check we can use the software provided by each camera brand.
But after our camera shutter count reaches its limit, we just replace the camera’s shutter release on the Authorize service center from the brand holders, until our cameras can be operated again as before.
Get to know your Camera
Get to know your Camera-Lately our society is facilitated by the auto mode which is already available on every digital device has. Usually found on digital devices that can help facilitate the activities and the activities of modern humans in their daily lives. Be it television, air conditioners, washing machines and motorcycles.
Likewise with digital SLR cameras and digital compact cameras that we use. Auto mode on digital cameras gives us easy to anticipate if there is a moment of sudden we want to catch.
For those who love photography, this dependence on the auto mode of course is not recommended. In addition to reducing excess control on the camera and its features will also limit creativity in producing photographs.
Know and master the use of personal cameras can each be done by:
1. Read the manuals
Usually this activity is the most reluctant to do the fotomania. But by reading the manual we will have an overall picture of the workings, capabilities and strengths of our cameras.
